My first sample today was a blast to make and I love how it turned out! The following items were used to create this Mini-slimline Z Fold design:
Stamp/Die Duo: Rain Or Shine
Custom Die Cuts: Mini Slimline Z Fold, Umbrella With Layers, Sentiment Strips Pierced Rectangles, A2 Rainbow and Clouds, Raindrops Background

The die-cut panel acted as a stencil and both were colored at the same time. Here is a pic of the die cut and stenciled panel.

Sending Love and Hugs

Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge site over at Splitcoast is 'A Beautiful Mess'. These flowers had me drooling...what an awesome color combo! I used some goodies from Altenew for my card today. The stamps, dies, embossing folder, and coloring stencils all coordinate....LOVE!!!   I probably should have used a little more ink...I'm always afraid of over-doing it!  The main panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC. This is a birthday card for my favorite aunt....one of my favorite humans on the planet!! I hope she loves it!

Sending Sunshine

Happy Friday, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create your own background with stamps, stencils, etc. For my card, I created a stencil with the top layer die from the Flower Petals Layering Combo 2 Dies set from Divinity Designs LLC.  Using Blending Brushes, I was able to blend yellow and apricot inks to create this cool pattern with the die-cut stencil.  The butterfly  base and card mat were cut from copper foil cardstock, so copper pearls and copper cord were added to coordinate.  The sentiment is from the Birthday Flower of the Month - April set and the following dies were used: Double Stitched Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, and Butterfly Layering Combo 3 DiesFoam Mounting Tape was used to pop up the butterfly and sentiment panel.
Here is a photo of the die set, showing all six layers:

Divinity Designs LLC - Birthday Flower of the Month - April

Hi, everyone! It's time to reveal the April Birthday Flower of the Month.....the Daisy!!!! I have created many samples already....this is one of the most versatile stamps I own now! The variety of colors of daisies are endless! I created a coloring stencil for myself using a piece of Yupo paper (which is a type of plastic); the image was fussy cut along the outside of the image edge so that I could use blending brushes or sponges to color the image, clean the Yupo and use a different color next time!
My first sample today so far is my favorite.  The daisy was stamped on white vellum, colored on the under-side with Blending Brushes and markers, adhered to white cardstock using Adhesive Sheets, die cut, then popped up with Foam Mounting Tape over a banana yellow panel, cut with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and embossed with the Lattice Slimline Embossing Folder.  The white panel was cut with the Matting Rectangle Die and card was cut with the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer Dies. Lavender baker's twine and milk dots were added for finishing touches.
Next up is a card for a co-worker, who's fave colors are royal blue and kelly green. The flower center was colored with a marker then sealed with a clear glaze pen; the same Yupo coloring stencil was used again to color the petals with Blending Brushes. The stems were colored with a marker.  The designer paper is from the Landscapes Paper Pad and the following dies were used: Pierced Rectangles, Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.
My office-mate asked for a card for his cousin. Her fave colors are black and red, so I created a red daisy in the same manner as the royal blue daisy above! The designer paper is from the Gardening Gnomes Paper/Die Duo Set and the dies used are as follows: Pierced Frames, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  The image and frame were popped up with Foam Mounting Tape.
This card was created for my niece's birthday....since spring has just sprung, I chose happy colors.  The daisy was stamped on white and colored with markers...super quick and easy.  The designer paper is from the 'Electric Spectrum Slimline Paper Pad' and the following dies were used: Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  Lime green sparkly gems were used as finishing touches.
Last but not least is another lavender design.  With this design, "hind-sight is 20-20".....after assembling the pieces I realized that the Lattice Background Die was not a good choice to pair with the gingham designer paper....a little too "busy".  Here are the items used for this card: Polka Dots and Gingham Paper Pad, Mini-Slimline Pierced Frame Dies, Mini-Slimline Card Base; Foam Mounting Tape, Blending Brushes.

Happy Friday, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to show off your Mother's Day cards. This card features the Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die Duos 4 and the Beautiful Blossoms 4 and 5 Coordinating 6x6 Paper Pad, plus the following dies: Long and Lean Letters, Matting Rectangle, Rectangles, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, Ornamental Rectangle Die Set. Play Ball!

Hi, everyone! My card today is for the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast....instead of the tag element, I created a home plate. Baseball season began yesterday here in Indy....it may snow here today but everyone is still in the mood for baseball!!  Since I don't have a cutting die, I cut and matted the home plate just with a paper cutter.  The sentiment is from Teamwork and the baseball is from the Baseball Stamp/Die Duo set from Divinity Designs LLC.  The umpire's brush was created with a cheap paintbrush which I dis-assembled; the wooden handle is designer paper from the Weathered Wood Collection.  The main panel was covered with an Adhesive Sheet; the home plate, umpire brush, and A2 Thin Pierced Frame were added, then the adhesive sheet was covered in Flower Soft to look like dirt.
